American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active MA RN license.
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand prior to profile upload (compact license not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
- ED Triage/Cardiac Room experience preferred
- IV certification preferred
- Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
- ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
- BSN preferred
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
- Must have own vehicle for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Emergency Department setting within a community hospital offering 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Function independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific policies and protocols
- Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills in patient care
- Strong critical thinking skills and emotional stability in emergency settings required
- Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend - All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and requests made after upload or during interview will not be approved
- Candidates must not be currently working another assignment or seeking schedule accommodations such as block scheduling
- Not accepting candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility
