Position Description
Communicates and engages with students to answer inquiries and questions regarding their online courses. Responsible for student inquiry information flow and coordination of those online learning activities with applicable staff sections of the College. Manages and coordinates related student services.
Position Responsibilities

- Student Inquiries:
* Monitor, answer and follow-up on all online learning student inquiries in all modalities (electronic, phone, help desk tickets, etc.)
* Respond to student inquiries related to policies, procedures, and standards which at times require discretion and judgment.
* Coordinate student inquiries with relevant college teams and functional work groups; forward copies of inquiries to pertinent college leaders and program managers.

- Student Support:
* Enrollment
o Assist online students through the enrollment process.
o Serve as a liaison for students, directing them to the appropriate departments for assistance with admissions, financial aid, transcripts, academic advising, the business office, and other services.
* Online Bookstore
o Provides student support for bookstore inquiries.
* Online Tutoring Services
o Manage the online tutoring services available to students by answering the tutoringservices emails.
o Create online tutoring accounts for students.
* Army IgnitED
o Enter Barton Online grades into Army Ignit
ED system.

- Website edits:
* Coordinates and performs updates to the Barton Online website
5% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

- Communication Plan:
* Develop and distribute student messages about upcoming enrollment opportunities, advisement, textbooks and course resources, payment balances, drop deadlines, and other communications as needed.
* Develop and distribute a monthly newsletter to online students.
* Develop and distribute emails to current/prior/prospective students for retention and recruiting purposes.
* Manages and executes promotional opportunities to online students.

Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Experience - Two to five years of similar or related experience.
Education - (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
Interpersonal Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Works involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills
- One or more years of similar experience.
* Experience in postsecondary setting, including distance learning populations.
* Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent computer skills. Must be detail oriented and extremely accurate.
* Must be team oriented.
Associate's Degree required.
Demonstrated work history of providing high quality customer-oriented services including problem solving, highly developed organizational skills, strong listening skills, and history of coordinated work effort with extensive follow-through. Technology skills including Microsoft Office, other software, and ability to master programs quickly.
Physical Requirements
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office or classroom.
Wages/Other
The hourly rate for this position is $18.90 to $21.11.

Qualifications:
