Barton Community College seeks a full‑time Education Navigator. This position will provide Adult Education students (and potential students) with information, advice, and guidance suitable to the attainment of basic skills (GED), post‑secondary career technical and academic education, and employment. The Navigator will work with the populations in the correctional setting primarily at Ellsworth Correctional Facility and provide support services for students transitioning from Adult Education to Barton Community College (BCC).
Responsibilities- Provide information, advice, and guidance for Adult Education students.
- Support students in attaining basic skills (GED), post‑secondary career technical and academic education, and employment.
- Work with populations in the correctional setting primarily at Ellsworth Correctional Facility.
- Provide support services for students transitioning from Adult Education to Barton Community College.
- Minimum of a two‑year degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
