Police Officer
The City of Great Bend is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Primary responsibilities will include patrol work involving assisting with the prevention of crime and the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and must be at least 21 years of age. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in the field of Criminal Justice is preferred.
Applicant must also have a valid Kansas driver's license and have the ability to achieve certification from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center within one year of employment.
Applicants will be subject to pre-employment testing including written and physical agility tests, an oral interview, and a thorough background check. Applicants must have no Brady/Giglio material in their background that would make them ineligible for hiring.
