We are hiring an
Assembly Technician
for Spire Integrated Solutions’ PRIMUS brand.
Install plumbing and wiring per the drawings provided.
POSITION Assembly Technician-Door Alignment REPORTS TO Production Manager and/or Plant Manager PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- 1. Install electrical wiring and assemble components in sterilizer equipment according to blue prints.
- 3. Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable assemblies.
- 4. Drill, tap, and cut tubing and piping.
- 5. Connect color-coded and numbered wire.
- 6. Solder and crimp connections.
- 7. Test and adjust assemblies.
- 8. Follow all requirements of the PRIMUS Quality Manual.
- 9. Responsible for following PRIMUS safety requirements.
- 10. Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisor or engineer to eliminate assembly problems.
- 11. Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy via the Kanban system.
- 12. Facility housekeeping (5S).
- 1. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Dress code is casual (T-shirt and jeans. No sweats). Safety glasses and shoes are mandatory.
- Hair neatly groomed and trimmed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work agreeably with customers, co-workers, and supervisor.
- Willingness to help discover and implement ideas to improve work processes and assembly technician performance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out work instructions.
- Understand and implement PRIMUS policies and procedures.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day.
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing required by the PRIMUS Associate Handbook and outside agency requirements.
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
Ability to operate a forklift (requires certification through formal training and testing).
