Private Duty Nurse LVN​/Nights - Part Time​/PRN

Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

We are looking for compassionate Licensed Practical/ Vocational Nurses to provide home-based care across the following locations:

• South Austin
• Kyle
• Buda
• San Marcos
• New Braunfels
• Surrounding Areas

• Provide and document skilled nursing care under RN supervision, following care plans and physician orders.
• Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor/physician.
• Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, and care coordination in a timely manner.
• Participate in implementation and updates of nursing care plans.
• Act on assessment findings to achieve expected outcomes and prevent/reduce risk.
• Adhere to Aveanna policies, state/federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Utilize infection control measures per OSHA standards.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, self-care, and prevention.
• Maintain competency through education programs, CEUs, and skill evaluations.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state of practice (compact licenses transferred within 90 days).
• Current CPR certification with hands-on component.
• Current TB skin test (within last 12 months).
• Reliable transportation.
• Six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred.
• State-specific requirements:
• South Carolina – 1 year of pediatrics experience.
• California – 1 year of experience working under current nursing license.
• Louisiana – 1 year of experience as a licensed nurse.
• Continuing education as required by state.

• Recent experience (≤6 months) as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical setting.
• Home health experience.

• Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, conflict resolution.
• Good organization and communication skills.

• Speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Travel, lift up to 50 lbs, reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting; sit and climb stairs.
• Visual and hearing acuity, strong sense of smell and touch.
• Respond physically and mentally to emergencies in the home or during transport.

• Work in diverse settings; possible exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
