📍 Thaxted, Essex
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Workers to join a well-established 5-bed mixed-gender children's residential home in Thaxted.
This is a full-time position, ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting children and young people in a nurturing, structured, and safe environment.
The home supports children and young people aged 8-18 with learning disabilities, focusing on promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.
👶 The Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people
* Support with daily routines, personal care, education, and social development
* Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional resilience
* Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards
* Support young people in community activities, appointments, and outings
* Work as part of a committed, supportive care team
⏰ Shift Pattern
Two long days per week: 7:30am - 10:00pm
* One late shift per week: 2:30pm - 10:00pm
* Flexibility required in line with the needs of the home✅ Essential Requirements
Must be aged 22 or over
* Full UK manual driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
* Previous experience within a residential or care setting
* Right to work in the UK
* Fully flexible and reliable
* Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safeguarding children🎓 Desirable
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
* Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or sensory needs
* Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies💼 What's on Offer
