Senior Accountant, Accounting Close – perform accounting functions and projects to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial information for D.A. Davidson and its subsidiaries. The role requires extensive knowledge of GAAP, strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with business partners.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or 5–7 years of relevant professional experience
• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; familiarity with FINRA and SEC reporting rules is desirable
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and organizational skills; high integrity and detail‑oriented
• Self‑motivated and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills for multi‑faceted financial analysis
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent business writing and capable of creating accounting policy documents
• Follow policies and procedures while maintaining client confidentiality
• Successful completion of the FINRA SIE and Seriesকে 99 Exams (must be passed within 120 days of hire)

• Participate in the month‑end close process, including collecting, analyzing, balancing and processing data from various reports and posting monthly entries to the general ledger
• Review and reconcile assigned accounts, post adjustments, and prepare supporting schedules and reports for management review
• Perform accounting functions that contribute to department and firm‑level financial statements and reports
• Code and journalize expense, revenue and allocation items for accurate financial statement presentation across business units and subsidiaries
• Maintain the fixed‑asset database, coordinate with IT to record entries for unassigned computer inventory, and prepare monthly depreciation journal entries
• Prepare and file property tax returns for multiple jurisdictions and account for company events and incentive trips
• Identify and suggest process improvements and assist with audit documentation as needed
• Support the Finance department on special projects and perform other duties as assigned
