Overview

The Accounting Associate for Student Accounts is responsible for managing and maintaining student financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with college policies and regulations. This role involves direct interaction with students, faculty, and staff to resolve account discrepancies and provide exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update student financial records, including tuition payments, and fees.
  • Provide support to students regarding their accounts, answer queries, and assist with payment plans.
  • Prepare and distribute billing statements to students and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of student accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports related to student accounts for internal use and audits.
  • Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in using a variety of accounting software and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
  • Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in higher education or academic institutions
  • Experience using Banner software
