Office Administrator/ Coordinator
The Office Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of MCAAC by providing administrative and clerical assistance to management and staff. This position is ideal for an organized, dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about animal welfare. The Office Assistant helps ensure the efficient operation of the office through effective communication, organization, recordkeeping, and customer service.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Prepare, update, and maintain reports, mailing lists, and contact databases.
- Organize, maintain, and file paper and electronic records.
- Assist with donor correspondence and acknowledgments.
- Monitor office and facility supply inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
- Provide administrative support and occasional coverage for the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Perform general office duties, including, data entry, copying, scanning, and document preparation.
- Complete off-site errands in a timely and efficient manner using personal transportation.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling financial, donor, and personal information.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with common computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar software.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to the mission of MCAAC.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Part‑time position averaging 20 hours per week
- Starting wage: $14.00 per hour
- Eligible to accrue annual leave and sick leave in accordance with MCAAC policy
- Aflac supplemental insurance is available. MCAAC contributes toward the premium, with the remaining cost paid by the employee.
