Benefis is one of Montana’s largest and premier health systems. The Facilities Supervisor oversees the daily operations of assigned facility functions to ensure a safe, reliable, and well‑maintained hospital environment.
Responsibilities- Provides leadership and direction to facilities staff, coordinates schedules, and monitors workload.
- Supports staff development while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Communicates effectively with staff to support coordination and timely resolution of issues.
- Manages fleet operations and inventory control, ensuring equipment, vehicles, and resources are maintained and utilized efficiently.
- Supports departmental budget planning through oversight of supply and equipment purchasing, service agreements, and monitoring of budgetary targets.
- Collaborates with leadership and department committees to support operational efficiency, customer service, and continuous improvement across facility operations.
- Handles pressure to meet deadlines, maintains accuracy, and adapts to constantly changing situations.
- Deals with a variety of people, manages stressful situations, and resolves conflict.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and adheres to all licensing board or agency regulations.
- Complies with all Benefis Health System organization policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of facilities supervisor experience.
- Third (3rd) Class Boilers License required within six (6) months of hire.
- NFPA Life Safety Code (101) certification required within six (6) months of hire.
- Montana DEQ Underground Storage Tank Class A, B & C Operator license required within six (6) months of hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/life safety systems, patient care equipment, and security hardware.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Exemption Wage Exempt. Starting Wage $69,534.40/annual. Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience.
