Responsibilities- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes.
- Follow equipment manuals and complete daily checklists to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Collaborate with project managers and forepersons to meet daily project goals while maintaining safety standards.
- Perform pre‑start inspections, track service needs, and keep machinery in excellent condition.
- Coordinate with other operators on site to optimize workflow and ensure project success.
- Maintain clean and well‑maintained equipment, promoting a positive image and extending equipment life.
- Adapt to new tasks and support team members as needed to keep projects moving forward.
- Dedication to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening, background check, and “Fit for Work” physical exam.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; completion of safe driver training.
- Responsible, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours when required.
- Professional and respectful communication skills with team members and the public.
- Age 18 or older.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (documentation required).
- Construction experience preferred; familiarity with materials and equipment essential.
Work Environment Requirements
- Frequent climbing, balancing and tasks requiring physical agility.
- Regular standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, or reaching above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing 25–50 lbs as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Exposure to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception) required for safe operation.
