Architectural Associate

Architectural Associate (3–5 Years Experience Preferred)

LPW Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience who is actively working toward licensure in Montana. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across all phases of design while working on a wide range of commercial project types.

At LPW, you’ll be part of a collaborative, hands‑on team that values thoughtful design, technical rigor, and strong client relationships. Depending on project scale, you’ll work both independently and alongside a principal and project team.

• Contribute to all phases of design, from concept through construction documents
• Develop design solutions that align with client goals, budgets, and project constraints
• Prepare presentations, design studies, and construction documents using Revit and related tools
• Research and apply zoning, building codes, energy codes, and accessibility requirements
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, and others) to deliver well-integrated designs
• Apply knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods to inform design decisions
• Participate in client meetings and help communicate design ideas clearly and effectively
• Mentor and support less experienced staff as you grow in your role

• 3–5 years of professional experience in architecture
• Actively pursuing architectural licensure
• Strong working knowledge of building codes and construction documentation
• Solid understanding of building systems and coordination with consultants
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to complex project work Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Revit
• Bluebeam or similar PDF tools
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Visualization tools such as Lumion (preferred)
