The purpose of this position is to provide support to students who need accommodations or support through the Middle School SWIS (School within a School) program or the Academic Achievement Center in the High Schools. There will also be additional responsibilities to monitor students' use of computers and on-line learning. This position will require excellent communication, organization and ability to work with others cooperatively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of college coursework or passing competency test within first month of employment;(district will support):

DUTIES:

* Structure the daily operation of the program;

* Organize multiple support opportunities for multiple students;

* Facilitate cooperation between teachers, students and parents;

* Complete specific projects as assigned;

* Assist students with testing accommodations required by 504 and customized learning plans;

* Supervise and monitor students;

* Manage and help students utilize on-line learning;

* Support students in their academic responsibilities;

* Other duties as assigned by administrators.

LOCATION:

East Middle School

SALARY: $14.19 per hour, 7.5 hours a day, 180 days per year
