Veterans’ Art Program Instructor

Job Title: Part‑Time Art Instructor – Veterans’ Art Program
Location: Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art
Schedule: Part‑Time, 3.5 hours per week, year‑round
Pay Rate: $27 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled part‑time art instructor to lead a creative art program designed specifically for veterans. The instructor will facilitate engaging, supportive, and inclusive art classes that encourage self‑expression, skill development, and community building through the arts. This role is ideal for an artist/educator who is passionate about working with veterans and using art as a tool for wellness and connection.

• Plan and teach weekly art classes tailored to veterans of varying skill levels
• Create a welcoming, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
• Guide participants through art techniques while encouraging personal expression
• Prepare lesson plans and organize materials for each month
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Participate in required program training and ongoing professional development
• Collaborate with the Education Manager and provide feedback on class progress

• Background in visual arts and/or art education (formal education or equivalent experience)
• Teaching or facilitation experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a small group setting
• Willingness to complete required training before or during employment
