Role DescriptionThe Production Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Great Falls, MT. This position oversees daily production engineering activities, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering resources, planning production schedules, optimizing workflows, and resolving technical issues on the shop floor. The manager collaborates with project teams to align production capabilities with customer and project requirements, while monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.
This role also involves managing floor and office staff, fostering vendor and equipment relationships, and supporting cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Experience with glass and glazing techniques, especially concerning Curtain Wall fabrication.
- Strong background in production-focused disciplines, including Production Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams through Engineering Management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and delivering initiatives using Project Management skills.
- Ability to oversee larger, multi-phase efforts and align them with business goals through Program Management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or glass fabrication environment, with a focus on process optimization and safety compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across operations, procurement, and leadership teams.
- Comfort using production planning tools, CAD or technical drawing systems, and standard office productivity software.
