This role works with TD Wealth prospects and clients to attract and retain clients by addressing their wealth management advisory needs. The incumbent meets with prospects and clients to analyze their financial information, including income, cash flow, assets and liabilities, and short‑ and long‑term financial goals. The advisor educates and advises clients and prospects on investment and insurance strategies, recommending personalized products to meet wealth creation objectives.
The role serves as the primary relationship manager and fiduciary, providing ongoing objective financial advice, long‑term retirement planning, and annual reviews to adapt to changing financial status or goals.
- Serves as the primary relationship manager and financial advisor for TD Wealth clients with a wealth‑management advisory need
- Develops, maintains, and manages all aspects of the client’s relationship with TD Wealth
- Works with prospects to attract and develop clients and address their wealth‑management advisory needs
- Analyzes client and prospect financial information, determining appropriate investment and insurance strategies and providing individualized financial advice
- Builds a client base by acquisition of new clients on an ongoing basis
- Educates and advises prospects and clients regarding investment and insurance strategies and products
- Retains and grows client base through relationship management, ongoing communication, and periodic review of client information to update financial planning as necessary
- Recommends personalized/tailored investment and insurance strategies and products to meet client’s financial and wealth creation objectives
- Meets quarterly and annual objectives
- Proficient in Sales Force, Money Guide Pro and other authorized software to track client engagement and provide advice
- Ensures all new clients receive the complete onboarding experience, including client discovery, financial needs analysis, and completion of all requisite onboarding documents
- Provides education, coaching, wealth referral training, and ongoing feedback to Retail and Small Business staff
- Implements a process to ensure periodic ongoing contacts and an Annual Client Review (ACR) meeting with an enhanced agenda focused on the client’s overall wealth and financial planning needs
- Deepens wallet share by anticipating client needs and suggesting the most appropriate wealth solutions
- Identifies opportunities within the portfolio and network to refer business to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
- Executes in a manner that is compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures
- Adheres to all federal, state, SRO regulations and firm policies related to all business activities (e.g., OCC, SEC, State Insurance Commissioners)
- Ensures all continuing education requirements are attained
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to TD Bank & TD Wealth policies and procedures
- Responsible for implementing TD’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) by collecting and verifying required customer information and performing Customer Due Diligence
- Develops understanding of client’s assets and transitions higher‑threshold clients to appropriate HNW Wealth partners as needed
- Fosters a positive and constructive work environment with a focus on supporting the overall wealth team
- Contributes individually, as a team member and mentor to new FAAs, ensuring strong performance, collaboration, and enthusiasm
- Represents TD Wealth to the general public in a professional manner
- Demonstrates community involvement and support for charitable initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 1+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, relevant college degree or completion of the FA Trainee program
- SIE & Series 7 required
- Required to have L&H and Series 66 (or equivalent) or ability to obtain all within the licensing schedule
