Job Overview
TEKsystems is seeking a Network Administrator for a 1‑year contract-to-hire position in Great Falls, Montana. The role will convert to a permanent position after the initial contract period.
LocationGreat Falls, Montana (full‑time on‑site)
TypeContract to Hire – 12‑month contract with permanent conversion
PayHourly rate: $33.66 – $40.87
Responsibilities- Directly support data and voice networks, including patching, testing, installation, upgrades, end‑user training, and performance monitoring.
- Work with vendor support and sales to resolve network issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for end users and IT staff.
- Install and support VoIP solutions and phone systems across the enterprise.
- Manage IT incidents and ticketing.
- Troubleshoot networking issues across all network layers.
- Represent the organization in internal and external meetings as required.
- Assist with project life cycles, including planning, budgeting, task delegation, and reporting.
- Participate in policy development, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with change management.
- Maintain technical certifications and attend relevant training.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 2+ years of experience in network management & support.
- Solid understanding of WAN/LAN technology, network configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, and related services.
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, or Avaya (preferred).
- CCNA or higher switching/routing certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of network security and firewall concepts.
- Experience with Layer 2/3 switching.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with department policies, processes, and procedures.
- Professional demeanor, respectful and collaborative.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts and safely lift up to 35 pounds.
- Self‑motivated, organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in client interactions.
- Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to policies.
