Key Responsibilities:

We’re searching for an elite supply chain strategist to join our executive team as Vice President of Supply Chain. In this critical leadership role, you will own the end-to-end supply chain strategy—optimizing procurement, risk management, logistics, and supplier partnerships to drive efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.

Your mission? Develop a world-class, resilient supply chain, with a focus on strategic sourcing, commodity trading, and supplier partnerships—ensuring seamless operations in an industry poised for explosive expansion.

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

  • Architect and execute a supply chain strategy that optimizes sourcing, logistics, and inventory management for scalability and profitability.
  • Build a best-in-class supplier and grower network, ensuring sustainability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in procurement, logistics, and risk management, driving operational excellence and resilience.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated risk mitigation strategies to protect against market volatility and global supply chain disruptions.
  • Cultivate high-trust, long-term relationships with farmers and growers, ensuring ethical sourcing, competitive pricing, and a reliable supply chain.
  • Develop outreach programs that empower growers with knowledge, tools, and best practices for sustainable agriculture.
  • Negotiate high-impact contracts and pricing agreements to maximize value and long-term supply stability.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure supply chain alignment with business objectives.

Demand Planning & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and oversee short-term and long-term operational plans that align supply chain capacity with business growth.
  • Optimize resource allocation, production scheduling, and inventory management for maximum efficiency.
  • Leverage data-driven forecasting and AI-powered supply chain analytics to enhance responsiveness and reduce costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a lean, high-performance supply chain.

Commodity Trading & Risk Management

  • Lead commodity risk management strategies, leveraging contracts, hedging, and market intelligence to optimize cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor global supply chain trends and economic shifts, developing contingency plans for supply chain resilience.
  • Manage key trading partnerships and strategic procurement initiatives to stay ahead of industry shifts.

Innovation & Technology-Driven Supply Chain

  • Implement cutting-edge supply chain technology solutions to streamline operations and improve real-time decision-making.
  • Drive automation and AI-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leverage big data, predictive analytics, and machine learning tools to create a future-proof supply chain model.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of supply chain leadership experience, ideally in agribusiness, food production, or commodity trading.
  • An ability to travel significantly within the first year until a solid supply chain has been established. At that point travel will taper off.
  • Proven expertise in commodity trading, supplier management, and financial performance optimization.
