Helicopter Weapons Mechanic

Overview

Insight Global is hiring a Helicopter Mechanic Technician to support our client in Malmstrom AFB, Montana. This individual will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and modifying aerospace vehicle systems to correct failures or implement upgrades, with a focus on weapons components. This role oversees the assembly, disassembly, and overhaul of mechanical and weapons systems, including the M240D, ensuring all work aligns with OEM and military standards.

The mechanic configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, performs complex troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and validates system functionality through rigorous testing. The position requires up to 25% travel annually. The schedule is 1st shift 7:00-3:30pm, but must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Position Title: Helicopter M240 Specialist

Location: Malmstrom AFB, Montana

Shift: Onsite Monday - Friday 1st shift 7:00-3:30pm. Must be able to work all shifts, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. They will start on the 1st shift. Up to 25% travel annually.

Clearance Required: Secret Clearance

• Support daily helicopter system operations and flight scheduling
• Assist with pre- and post-flight inspections and evaluations
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols
• Operate and maintain M240 weapon systems
• Collaborate with military personnel and technical teams

• 3 years of experience with Military aircraft maintenance
• 3 years of maintenance experience with military weapons

• M240D experience
• Experience with helicopters/rotorcraft maintenance
• Airframe and Power plant (A&P) license
• General mechanic experience

• Mid-Senior level
