Day in Life of JV
The JV might start their day by eating breakfast with the 5th graders who are the class that puts on the weekly Mass this time. You will conference with some students and assign them the readings for Mass. You meet with your first period small group Religion / Reading intervention class and go over some URL (Unlocking the Reading Code) techniques.
After that you will spend some time meeting with the Priest and going over the slideshow for the upcoming Mass. After lunch duty, you join other JVs and make weekend food backpacks for the students who need it. You take an hour and video conference with the Director of Mission to plan some retreat activities and t-shirt designs. In the afternoon you will meet with a Crow Tribal elder to pick out some prayer petitions and songs in the Crow language for students to read and sing at weekly Masses.
The last period of the day you meet up with a group of Second graders and the Sisters to go over some Sacramental prep booklets. The students are getting excited about their upcoming First Communion.
