Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency setting. Triage patients safely, rapidly and accurately, assessing physical and psychosocial needs and factors influencing patient flow. Communicates with ER physicians and APP providers about changes in patient status, symptomology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. Works cooperatively with patients, families, physicians, APP providers, allied health staff and other healthcare professionals.

Gives direction to emergency department techs, registration staff and allied health staff, and receives direction from the Emergency Department Leader, providers and Chief Nursing Officer.

Active license, BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC
