Position Summary
As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What You’ll Do- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, maintaining in‑stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs. Follow recipe measurement instructions and work with a variety of products—including decorating bags, tips, nozzles—to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items while adhering to food safety, sanitation, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Drive performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events). Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Serve as a brand advocate by valuing the member’s experience in the bakery, modeling high‑quality service and products, and interacting with associates to understand roadblocks, assisting in training, and inspiring them to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implement related action plans using the Open Door Policy and execute business processes with integrity.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to identify priorities, meet deadlines, and drive improvement opportunities.
- Respect the Individual: Embrace differences, build strong relationships, and support teammates.
- Act with Integrity: Maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance, support our regenerative goals, and act selflessly, honestly, and transparently.
- Serve our Customers and Members: Deliver results while putting the customer first and make decisions based on reliable information.
- Strive for Excellence: Display curiosity, take calculated risks, drive continuous improvement, and use new technologies and skills.
- 6 months of experience in a fresh production area.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

- Other benefits – short‑term and long‑term disability, company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more.
- Live Better® U – a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates, ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are fully paid by Walmart.
