The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity. The project is for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will require a background check to gain site access. Davis-Bacon wages will be paid.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading and shake out of material.
- Install safety line and posts.
- Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- TWIC Card and/or Real ’s are required.
- Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts.
- Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.

Work Environment- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
