Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily inspections of building equipment and systems to identify any issues that may impact operations. Duties include maintenance of boilers, HVAC equipment, electrical and other equipment, as well as general maintenance of facilities and grounds. The role may also include other duties deemed necessary for the safe operation of the facilities, assigned by the Facilities Manager, EOC Director, and/or CEO.

This position will run Monday‑Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification from a Vo-tech or trade school preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of one year of verifiable building operations experience
  • Experience in a medical setting or with medical equipment is preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid MT driver’s license with no moving violations for one year when driving any vehicle for work‑related reasons
  • Current Montana Low‑Pressure Boiler Operators License, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of boilers and the low‑pressure boiler operator’s license
  • Experience in building operations is a plus
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of equipment and solve complex problems
  • Proficiency in welding, soldering, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, grounds care, equipment operation, carpentry, concrete, and landscaping
  • Use of standard equipment necessary for essential functions of the position
