Tilleman Equipment is looking for an experienced and advanced Heavy Equipment/Ag Technician to join our team. We service Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Gleaner, Bobcat, Vermeer, and Mac Don, in addition to other agricultural equipment. As an advanced service technician, you are able to independently perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. However, you may require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

We offer ongoing training and expect our technicians to remain certified at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment.
  • Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • May perform diagnosis and repair in the field
  • Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
  • Maintains current product knowledge and competitive products.
  • Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Loads and unloads equipment when requested.
  • Follows all safety procedures and guidelines, and works in a safe manner
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Diesel Mechanics or a related field of study.
  • Preferred 5 year(s):
    Demonstrated work experience of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of power / agricultural equipment.
  • Must have your own tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to use a computer and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 75-100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
