Doctor Lawn Landscape Management is seeking an experienced Irrigation Maintenance Foreman for our Great Falls, MT branch. This full‑time, year‑round position requires a leader who can manage, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for high‑profile commercial projects while ensuring efficiency, water conservation, and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Work with the Account Manager to define project needs and expectations, and manage inventory.
- Oversee irrigation technicians and coordinate daily schedules.
- Lead morning planning meetings with irrigation techs and all laborers to discuss daily schedules and adjust based on project goals.
- Distribute materials to technicians and load necessary parts onto trucks.
- Identify irrigation enhancement opportunities during site inspections and prepare bid proposals.
- Manage equipment and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring all vehicles are in good repair.
- Plan and execute system start‑up services with the Production Manager.
- Conduct site inspections to identify additional opportunities.
- Perform repairs with high precision and efficiency.
- Track daily progress, discuss work completed with technicians, and maintain accurate project logs.
- Create detailed irrigation maps including zone, valve, controller, and blow‑out locations.
- Ensure accurate daily billing reports and proper time/material usage entry.
- Communicate regularly with clients, build relationships, and maintain quality of service; email communication skills are essential.
- Coordinate snow removal services with the Account Manager and Production Manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees, customers, and the public.
- Minimum 5 years irrigation installation/maintenance experience.
- Leadership and management experience in the irrigation industry.
- Valid and insurable driver’s license.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Proficiency with email, Excel, Word, and related software.
- Ability to interpret irrigation, landscape, and civil drawings.
- Ability to design, adjust, and calculate flow projections and modify drawings to correct foreseeable issues.
- Proficient knowledge of irrigation and landscape construction processes.
- Irrigation certification is a plus.
