About the Role:

As a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate, you'll play a key role in the success of our market by ensuring products move efficiently through the warehouse and by supporting our inside sales and customer service efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain industry knowledge, develop valuable business skills, and advance towards a Counter and Inside Sales position if desired.

What You'll Do:

+  Sales Support:
Assist at the sales counter and by phone with customer inquiries, order taking, and service needs.

+  Warehouse Operations:  Receive, stock, pick, and ship electrical products.

+  Order Fulfillment:  Accurately pull and prepare orders for customers and delivery.

+  Local Deliveries:  Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to contractors and business clients.

+  Inventory Management:  Keep the warehouse organized and materials properly labeled.

+  Administrative Duties:  Handle basic paperwork and data entry to support daily operations.

Reports to:

Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+  High School Diploma or GED.

+  Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.

+  Basic math skills for measuring, inventory, and order accuracy.

+  Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform warehouse physical tasks (bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting).

+  Eagerness to learn the electrical distribution business.

+  Dependability and a positive, team-first attitude.

+  Availability to work Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

While performing the duties of this job, warehouse associates are regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 75 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

+  Customer service or retail experience.

+  Forklift operation experience (or willingness to learn/certify).

+  Previous warehouse, delivery driving, or sales counter experience in industries like construction supply, hardware, building materials, or electrical wholesale.

+  Electrical Industry background

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Essential Job Functions:

-    Deliver professional, courteous, friendly, accurate customer service.

-    Use computer and RF guns to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management system

-    Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to be picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferred

-    Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas

-    Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence

-    Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department

-    Complete in town deliveries as needed

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $22 hourly.
