Commercial Low Voltage Technician (Level 1–3) – Structured Cabling & Data Center

Responsibilities:
  • Install Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling and fiber (single-mode and multi-mode)
  • Terminate and test copper and fiber connections, including LC and MPO connectors
  • Dress and organize cables using proper wire management, including cable trays and ladder racks
  • Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other hardware
  • Accurately label cables and components to maintain clean documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and network diagrams
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
  • Work independently or lead small crews depending on experience level
Requirements:
  • 1–5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial or data center environments
  • Proven experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 required; fiber experience preferred)
  • Experience with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructure
  • BICSI, OSHA, or Lift certifications are a plus
  • Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel toe boots)
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a team or independently
