What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical, automation, and control systems across our manufacturing operations. Working closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams, you will help ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role located just outside Great Yarmouth, focused on keeping automated systems and machinery operating safely and efficiently within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
The position is based on site, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm.

- Perform planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production teams in restoring operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and plant equipment to identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
- Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance projects.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures where applicable
Required:
- 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
- Good understanding of HSE and quality standards
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Experience with automated or assembly line equipment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tool
- Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
