Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with activities to include career exploration endeavors, completing homework assignments, ensuring comprehension and accuracy, and monitoring students during snack time.
  • Assist teachers with small group sessions covering various subjects and career exploration topics, tailoring instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with PD, teachers, and team to provide ideas and implement educational activities that promote learning and encourage student engagement.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings prior to student arrival.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for students, promoting their academic growth and personal development.
  • Supervise and monitor students during program hours, ensuring safety and well‑being while implementing positive behavioral interventions as needed.
  • Create and maintain a structured daily schedule with PD, teachers, and other staff.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns or issues that may arise (in writing and/or verbally).
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Assist with program administrative tasks, such as maintaining attendance records and preparing program materials (documenting in Efforts To Outcomes data system (ETO)).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of various subjects and ability to provide academic support in math, science, English, and other core subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff members.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Ability to create and implement engaging educational activities that align with program goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Shift Schedule

Monday - Thursday 2 pm‑6 pm, Occasional Fridays 10 am‑2 pm
