Largo Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Largo, MD is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as the Admissions Coordinator

As the Admissions Coordinator, you’ll work closely with our patients and their families as they navigate the transition from the acute to post-acute care setting providing individualized customer service to help us meet our commitment of providing Care Beyond Compare.

What You'll Do

  • Build relationships with patients and families by proactively welcoming them to the center and answering service related (non-clinical) questions.

  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure clear understanding of admission procedures, requirements, and expectations.

  • Help guide patients and families through the admissions process, explaining paperwork, consent forms, and other important information.

  • Ensure patient rooms and supplies are fully prepared for new admissions.

  • Communicate with insurance providers to obtain initial and extensions of authorization for services.

  • Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Be the customer service champion for the center and ensure customer service standards are consistently upheld in all aspects of daily operation.

  • Respond in timely manner to service concerns and escalate matters as necessary to ensure exceptional customer service.


What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience in post-acute admissions or patient relations.

  • Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
