Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

Role Overview:
An Inpatient Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive patient care within a hospital setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and documentation, ensuring adherence to professional standards and accreditation guidelines.

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy, including assessments, treatment, DME recommendations, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring personalized care through clinical reasoning and accurate documentation.
• Maintain timely and detailed records, including intervention notes, outcome data, and compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in team meetings, process improvements, continuing education, and staff development activities.
• Serve as a resource, mentor new staff and students, and contribute to program goals and clinical guideline development.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Professional competency with varied evaluation and treatment approaches.
• Licensure or eligibility in the District of Columbia and BLS certification.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to serve as a resource and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
