The Prince George’s County Office of Management and Budget is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Performance Data Analyst (Budget Management Analyst IV), grade G27 position, in the Performance Management Division

This position performs advanced and level professional performance analytics, data management, and operational reporting work in support of County Stat and Agency performance management initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for collecting, integrating, analyzing, and visualizing operational and performance data from multiple County systems to support data‑driven decision‑making across agencies and leadership. Work involves developing and maintaining dashboards, performance measures, and reporting tools aligned to County strategic priorities and operational outcomes.

This position operates with a high level of independence and is expected to exercise sound technical judgment, leadership influence, and strategic analytical capability in supporting County performance and operational decision‑making. The position partners with agency leadership, program managers, and technical teams to translate operational business needs into data solutions, performance metrics, and actionable insights.

The incumbent will design and maintain automated reporting solutions, support enterprise data governance efforts, and provide technical guidance on performance measurement methodologies, data quality, and reporting standards. Work involves overseeing the development and maintenance of enterprise dashboards, performance measures, and reporting frameworks aligned to County strategic priorities, operational outcomes, and leadership reporting requirements. The incumbent provides technical and functional leadership over performance data initiatives and may supervise professional, technical, or contract staff engaged in performance analytics, reporting, and data management activities.

Personal contacts are primarily with County leadership, Office of the County Executive staff, Office of Management and Budget, Office of Information Technology, department and agency data owners, and external partners as needed. The purpose of these contacts is to gather operational requirements, validate data sources, present findings, and support performance improvement initiatives impacting service delivery, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes. Work may occasionally require presenting findings to leadership and stakeholders but does not require routine direct public service delivery.

The Office of Management and Budget supervises the County budget and provides expert guidance to agencies and administration on County fiscal policies, management analysis, and legislative and regulatory affairs.

• Designs, develops, and maintains enterprise performance dashboards using Power BI and other visualization platforms.
• Extracts, transforms, and analyzes data using SQL, SAP, and other County enterprise systems to support operational reporting and performance monitoring.
• Develops and maintains data models, queries, and automated reporting pipelines to support County Stat performance reporting cycles.
• Works with agencies to define, standardize, and document performance measures, KPIs, and operational metrics aligned with County strategic priorities.
• Uses Visio and similar tools to develop data flow diagrams, process maps, and system architecture documentation supporting data governance and operational workflows.
• Integrates data from multiple operational systems to create unified reporting views for leadership decision‑making.
