Director of Preconstruction

The Redda Group has been retained by a high-growth, well-capitalized construction firm to identify a Director of Pre-Construction who can build, scale, and lead a best-in-class pre-construction function.

This is a senior leadership role for a strategic builder—someone who can elevate estimating accuracy, drive margin reliability, strengthen win rates, and position the organization as a premier partner across private, federal, and local government work.

• 10+ years in pre-construction / estimating leadership
• Experience across commercial, interior, base building, or mixed-use projects
• Proven success improving estimate accuracy, win rates, and margins
• Strong financial acumen and executive presence
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, estimating tools, and cost modeling
• Thrives in high-growth, high-expectation environments

• Build and lead a scalable pre-construction engine supporting 20%+ annual growth
• Own estimating strategy, systems, talent, and client engagement
• Partner directly with executive leadership on Go/No-Go decisions, margins, and pipeline
• Establish a national subcontractor strategy
• Make a visible, measurable impact on revenue, profitability, and brand reputation

• Full lifecycle pre-construction leadership: conceptual estimating, value management, risk analysis, and handoff
• Development and leadership of a high-performing estimating / pre-con team
• Accurate, repeatable cost models and predictable financial outcomes
• Executive-level client, architect, and partner engagement
• Data-driven governance, forecasting, and performance tracking (Procore-integrated)
