Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a high-acuity travel assignment in Maryland. This opportunity is ideal for a strong emergency nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable caring for patients across all age groups, from neonates through adults.

- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
- Shift: Nights (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Required as Scheduled
- Floating: Required within the specialty as needed
- On-Call: Not Required
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 (up to 1:5 for lower-acuity patients)

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate emergency patient care.
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Effectively triage patients according to symptom severity and clinical presentation.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.
- Adhere to emergency department policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
- Active Maryland RN License required prior to start.
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required.
- Travel experience preferred.
- First-time travelers will be considered with 5+ years of ER experience.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- Current:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI
- TNCC
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Competitive high-acuity ER experience.
- Work with a diverse patient population across all age groups.
- Night shift schedule with consistent 36-hour work weeks.
- Exposure to trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and emergency critical care cases.
