Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse will work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The position involves providing care for patients recovering from anesthesia. Patient demographics include pediatrics to geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4. Participation in floating within the unit may be required.

Weekend shifts will be scheduled as required. Holidays may also be required based on scheduling needs. Candidates should have skills in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessments, and monitoring of ventilated patients. The nurse will assist in various procedures including colon surgeries, cardiac management, and post-operative care. Knowledge of emergency medications, medication reconciliation, and patient assessments are essential. Strong communication skills for patient and family education upon discharge are necessary.

Experience:

2 years of PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers accepted with strong 3-5 years of PACU experience. License:
Active state RN license

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have:
Charge experience preferred, travel experience required, preferred experience in Epic and community hospital settings, preferred experience in LTAC and trauma facilities

09/14/2026 End Date: 12/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:30 - 20:00)
