The position involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Nurses will provide patient care for a wide variety of diagnoses, including complex admissions. The daily patient census will range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 40. Patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 6 patients. Candidates must be comfortable floating between departments as needed. Every other weekend and holiday work is required.
The role includes managing a range of patient care tasks, including telemetry and medication administration. Nurses should be knowledgeable in various skills, including airway management and central line care. The facility will support interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in charting systems, preferably Epic. This is a border role within the specialty and scope of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
Candidates must adhere to infection control protocols and all safety guidelines. Travelers should be prepared for a dynamic and flexible work environment.
