Overview
The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company from financial loss associated with theft and fraud while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs. In this position, you will employ various tools and strategies to minimize loss.
Responsibilities- Identifying incidents of theft and fraud.
- Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports.
- Monitoring physical security within the store.
- Auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
- Fostering a culture aimed at eliminating shrinkage.
- Preparing thorough and detailed case reports that document apprehensions and recoveries.
- Preserving evidence related to incidents.
- Interacting with law enforcement as necessary.
- Testifying in criminal and civil court when required.
As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will be expected to report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and conduct your duties in a manner that minimizes injury risk to yourself, colleagues, vendors, customers, and the company. Integrity and responsiveness to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates are essential. You will need to remain focused on store-specific goals while actively supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
