Additionally, we offer consulting and advisory services in areas like organizational structure, internal audit design, and compliance with grant awards, delivering comprehensive support to our clients.
As an Assurance Associate, you’ll support audit and assurance engagements, primarily for governmental and nonprofit entities, from planning through completion, with responsibilities that include:
- Performing audit procedures across key financial statement areas including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables, revenue, debt, equity, and accruals
- Preparing clear, accurate, and well-organized audit work papers in accordance with professional standards
- Researching accounting and auditing matters and documenting conclusions thoughtfully and precisely
- Identifying issues and communicating findings to senior associates, managers, and partners—early and clearly
- Interacting directly with clients to obtain information, answer questions, and keep engagements moving
- Coordinating with team members to resolve accounting and audit matters efficiently and professionally
- Supporting teammates, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a collaborative, no-ego team environment
- Taking on additional projects as assigned to broaden experience and deepen understanding
- Strong Analytical Skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Solid foundation in Accounting concepts and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ChatGPT (or equivalent AI tools)
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA licensure or progress toward obtaining CPA is a plus
- Ability to manage tasks and deadlines in an on-site work environment
$65,000 to $75,000 (depending on experience) – based on a 2080 hour expectation.
