Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of office support functions. This position will be required to support multiple departments, as outlined by management.

Wage Range: $18.00-$21.00 per hour, dependent upon experience

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Typing, filing, data entry, copying, preparing, shipping, and distributing courier packages, composition and editing correspondence, etc.
  • Operate office equipment including, but not limited to: multi line phone system, computers, copiers, fax machines, printers, etc.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred:
    Word, Excel, etc.
  • Order PPE Safety Supplies and distribute to field supervisors as needed
  • Schedule Meeting Rooms and lunch setup
  • Knowledge of basic office practices and protocol.
  • Other duties as assigned per supervisor.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Requirements
  • One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training.
  • Previous MSHA/DOT experience highly preferred
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including but not limited to: computers, copiers, 10-key adding machine, printers, fax machines and scanners.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have (or be able to quickly gain) knowledge of Command Alkon, Internet software, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
