Summary of Position
:
The Coordinator within the Center for Corporate Diplomacy leads on event implementation, provides business development and stakeholder engagement support, and manages administrative functions that ensure success for the Center for Corporate Diplomacy.
The Coordinator is responsible for leading implementation efforts for a suite of programs designed primarily for a private sector audience, including Global Business Briefings, Salon Dinners, Receptions, and the Corporate Council Working Group Initiative by coordinating logistics, preparing program materials, and conducting research to inform programmatic direction. In addition, they support engagement with the 1009+ members of the Corporate Council through meeting preparation, correspondence, and proposal research for prospective and existing partners, while helping track stakeholder engagement.
Primary responsibilities include:
Salesforce data management, drafting of program and membership correspondence, event coordination and RSVP tracking, research and analysis on emerging trends, support for procurement and financial administration, and other special projects as needed.
This position is located in Washington D.C., and Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. The position may work partially remotely until further notice.

Position Responsibilities:
Event Production and Program Implementation
- Support day-to-day implementation of all Center for Corporate Diplomacy programs including but not limited to:
Global Business Briefings, Salon Dinners, Receptions, and the Corporate Council Working Group Initiative - Oversee the creations of all required materials for the program including invitations, agendas, briefing memos, reminders, speaker biographies, etc.
- Coordinate with the internal teams and 3rd-party groups to ensure all required persons are available and properly prepped to participate in on-site programs
- Manage the process for inviting all potential attendees, and track all the RSVP’s
- Conduct thorough research and analysis, identify emerging trends in international affairs, and suggest timely and germane programmatic ideas
Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development
- Support the engagement of the 90+ members of the Meridian Corporate Council by supporting preparation and research ahead of stakeholder meeting
- Attend and represent the Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy at meetings, events, and other engagements as needed.
- Assist in research and writing proposals for prospective and existing corporate partners outlining potential engagement plans
- Maintain internal relationships with Meridian’s Open Diplomacy Centers to help identify potential opportunities for existing or new partners
- Draft and prepare correspondence, announcements and other materials for Corporate Membership acquisition, retention, and acknowledgement
- Regularly report out to Center for Corporate Diplomacy leadership and Meridain’s Senior Vice President on level of engagement by stakeholders, and manage the directory of partners and prospects
Administration
- Maintain and enrich the Salesforce database with up-to-date contact and relationship details for all Corporate Diplomacy activities, including but not limited to contact records, event attendance, business development campaigns, and speaker opportunities
- Assist in procurement and compliance processes for contracts, payments, and other MOUs made by the Center for Corporate Diplomacy, in collaboration with the Associate Director – Center for Corporate Diplomacy
- Arrange travel, accommodations, and other logistical concerns for Vice President – Corporate Diplomacy and other senior members of the team, as needed
- Track and ensure all Corporate Council contributions are received in a timely manner.
