Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of dental assisting (EDDA) experience
  • Experience in multi‑surface filling and dentures
  • Active CPR and AED training
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
  • Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a huge plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
Essential Functions
  • Assist the doctor in restorative procedures, composite fillings, crown and bridge, dentures, taking impressions, taking FMX, charting; sterilization; placing rubber dam; pouring up models; root canals; and extractions
  • Focus on patient safety and team safety as a priority
  • Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control protocols; dispose of sharps and clinical waste promptly and safely
  • Maintain digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre‑authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details
  • Educate patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health
  • Monitor the patient’s physical and emotional well‑being during the entire visit
  • Prepare tray set‑ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
  • Ensure exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to required standards at the beginning and end of each patient interaction
  • Chart existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
  • Review the patient chart and health history prior to doctor arrival and confirm the patient’s chief concern
  • Take diagnostic quality X‑rays and attach them to the patient chart
  • Help the Rodeo Team clean surfaces, sinks, floors and common areas of exam rooms, operatories, reception, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Compensation: $24–$28 per hour
  • Schedule:

    Monday & Tuesday 8:30 am–7:30 pm and two Saturdays per month
