Adjunct Faculty: AutoCad

Aims Community College seeks a faculty member to teach courses in the Autodesk suite of software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Architecture, Navisworks, and related applications.

• Teach courses, facilitate classes covering Autodesk suite.
• Prepare syllabi, administer and grade assignments and examinations.
• Distribute academic progress reports to students and the Chairperson regularly.
• Request instructional supplies, textbook requisitions, and absence reports as needed.
• Complete and document project request/worksheet for class projects and maintain files for review and approvals by the Chairperson.
• Coordinate and supervise teaching and lab activities, including cooperative education components.
• Use current technology to enhance instructional effectiveness and be willing to learn and apply new technology.
• Participate in assessment, implementation, and evaluation measures as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field plus 2,000 hours of industry experience in the last 10 years, including software experience and a portfolio of documentation of projects.
• Or Associate degree in CAD, engineering technology, construction plus 4,000 hours of industry experience, including software experience and a portfolio of projects.
• Or software‑specific certification (e.g., Solidworks professional certification) plus a portfolio of documentation of projects and 4,000 hours of industry experience.
• Industry experience older than 10 years will be considered if the candidate has been teaching continuously in the content area since that time.
• Shall hold or qualify for a post‑secondary vocational credential in applicable related fields issued by Aims Community College CTE Office.
• Knowledge of relevant CAD software.

• Experience with mechanical software:
  Solidworks, Fusion, and Inventor.
