Position Overview:

As a Hematology/Oncology Physician, you will be responsible for managing patients across all cancer types, with a specialized focus on breast oncology and gynecologic malignancies. You will collaborate closely with surgical gynecologic oncology teams, participate in tumor boards, and contribute to clinical research efforts aimed at advancing cancer treatment. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care, professional development, and involvement in groundbreaking research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a comprehensive range of cancer cases, with an emphasis on breast and gynecologic oncology.
• Deliver exemplary, evidence-based patient care within a cooperative team comprising three physicians and three advanced practice providers.
• Participate actively in tumor board discussions and collaborate with specialists at Anschutz Medical Center.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives, particularly in breast cancer, aiming to improve therapies and patient outcomes.
• Utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for efficient patient management and documentation.
• Maintain a balanced work schedule, working a flexible four-day week with shared, minimal on-call duties among a group of 15 clinicians.
• Stay current with evolving treatments, emerging technologies, and clinical guidelines to ensure state-of-the-art patient care.
• Support visa candidates, fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.
• Maintain compliance with UCHealth name clearance protocols system-wide.

Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
• Valid medical license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one.
• Demonstrated expertise in breast and gynecologic oncology preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and research.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $489,000 to $543,000, with potential bonuses based on quality metrics and productivity.
