Job SummaryYouth Enrichment and the Rodarte Community Center promotes a positive presence in our community. We strive to engage youth through programming that promotes leadership, academic achievement, health, and development of important life skills. You will be working with youth of all ages in our after school program. Our team is looking for individuals to join our movement in creating memorable experiences, as well as mentoring our community’s youth.

Minimum Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience working with youth in programming or mentorship programs.
- CPR/AED First Aid certified or able to complete within 30 days.
- None
- Engaged and enthusiastic individuals who are looking to give back to future generations in our community.
- You must have a positive attitude and be able to work with a wide range of participants, ages 5-15.
- Passionate about giving back to their community.
- Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of participants and ages.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and a self-starter.
- Ability to work mornings and evenings.
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
- Oral, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to accurately interpret what others are saying and convey messages, information, concepts, and details accurately and clearly.
- Organizational skills, including the ability to set and meet goals and deadlines, manage appointments, create schedules, coordinate and facilitate meetings, and make decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple concurrent and competing tasks and responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and stay on task when completing special projects and daily assignments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and reliable professional judgment, as well as collaboratively with a team to achieve desired results.
- Ability to maintain a strong work ethic, positive problem-solving attitude, and enthusiasm for the work performed.

- Ensures the safety of all team members and guests at the facility.
- Supervises, guides, and assists participants during art/crafts, recreational activities, and other activities.
- Assists Youth Service Specialist Leads in implementing programs.
- Executes instructional plans using accepted teaching methods, coaching methods, and individual instruction.
- Effectively communicates with participants, parents/guardians, and public effectively and appropriately.
- Sets up and takes down necessary equipment prior to and after programs, which includes cleaning and organizing.
- Assists in the organization and administration of special events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Physical Requirements
- Physical activity with youth.
- Is able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to be outside and active for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 30-49 pounds.
- Has the ability to participate in activities with participants.
