Wyld Life National Initiatives Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Wyld Life National Initiatives Coordinator leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of Wyld Life initiatives—Young Life’s ministry for middle‑school children. The role collaborates with staff, volunteers, and regional leaders to equip and train teams, develop resources, and support program delivery across the country.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for Wyld Life initiatives and expansion.
- Train leaders and volunteers through online and in‑person workshops.
- Create and maintain resources, toolkits, and a digital library for staff and leaders.
- Coordinate national training events, including the Wyld Life Summit every 3–4 years.
- Partner with SVPs, regional directors, and the Learning & Leadership team to embed Wyld Life context in national programs.
- Provide content and oversight for Wyld Life’s social media and public relations efforts.
- Raise and manage personal support and donor care for Wyld Life initiatives.
- Manage budgeting, financial tools, and ensure compliance with Young Life policies.
- Represent Wyld Life on national task forces and at community events.
- Support summer assemblies, camps, and field trips as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational management skills.
- Experience working with middle‑school children and their families.
- Excellent written and public speaking communication skills.
- Capability to develop and manage a budget.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proven relational and communication skills with diverse groups.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Self‑motivation and goal orientation.
- Experience in youth ministry or volunteer-based organizations.
- Understanding of ministry to early adolescents.
- Strong strategic and vision‑casting abilities.
- Experience in public outreach and media production.
- Knowledge of Christian faith and practice.
- Remote work with approximately 10% travel.
- May include summer assignments at camps, requiring accommodation to outdoor and physical activities.
- Physical demands may involve hiking, horseback riding, and boating.
Salary range: $73,900 to $100,900, based on education, experience, and location.
Religious RequirementApplicants must profess belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and be willing to commit to Young Life’s statement of faith.
