Responsibilities- Summary/Objectives: Responsible for all aspects of the head coach role; overseeing assistant coaches; making decisions based on the direction of the program.
- Essential Functions: Organizing and supervising game help; assisting with supervision at activities.
- Additional Qualifications: Applicant must complete concussion training.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises assistant coaches.
- Work Environment / Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Travel: As needed.
- Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards.
- Knowledge and skills sufficient to perform all duties of the position.
- Preference for leadership situations that meet students’ social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs.
- Preference for a work environment that allows flexibility, conflict management, high tolerance for stress, quick learning, and long hours.
- Required: High School Diploma/GED; CPR certification; CHSAA test and regulation; concussion education; prior coaching experience in this sport.
- Preferred: Bilingual skills; other related education, experience and training.
Salary placement on the Co‑Curricular Salary schedule depends on the sport, club, organization or program and the employee’s in‑district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract.
