Engage students in‑person and online, collaborate with teachers and site staff to promote student success, provide outreach and support services, and respond to identified students to ensure they achieve personal and program goals. Provide on‑site direct support to staff and students in overall management and operation of the school.
Essential Duties / Major Accountabilities- Accountability: Show up, be accountable to students, ourselves, and the team.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain transparent and honest relationships with students and the team.
- Team Strength: Work as a unified team providing an innovative environment to help students become productive members of society.
- Physical Presence: Maintain regular on‑site presence while using virtual work when needed.
- Interventions: Provide interventions as needed; transport students for school‑related activities using required CDE driver certification.
- MTSS: Monitor attendance data, provide interventions including home visits, parent communications, and student success plans; ensure timely documentation.
- Truancy: Collaborate with regional leadership and Social‑Emotional Team to document truancy; attend truancy court hearings as needed; assist with community and legal resources.
- Compliance: Complete required training and adhere to school policy, state law, confidentiality, mandatory reporting, FERPA.
- Community Engagement: Connect students to external resources.
- Recruitment: Actively recruit new students through community partnerships and events.
- Academic & Social‑Emotional Support: Basic tech support, facilitate students’ work with teachers, access accommodations and support staff.
- Assessment: Champion culture of assessment; ensure student participation and proctoring; maintain compliance with state‑mandated tests.
- Platform Knowledge: Understand GOAL learning platforms such as Schoology, Edgenuity, and GOAL Portal.
- Communication: Build connections with staff, students, and parents; provide progress reports and conduct conferences.
- Extracurricular: Possess knowledge of GOAL Academy’s extracurricular activities and opportunities.
- Attendance & POD Huddles: Maintain daily student communication and document attendance; participate in daily POD huddles.
- Accountability Standards: Demonstrate enthusiasm for children, recruitment, strong interpersonal skills, technology proficiency, problem solving, teamwork, work ethic, confidentiality, willingness to travel, ethical conduct, and meet Colorado work‑day requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and residence in Colorado.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following: associate (or higher) degree; 48 credit hours of college study; or passing formal assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
