Special Education Teacher - Fort Morgan

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide specialized instruction in academic and functional skills to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Utilize assessment data and educational technology to inform instructional decisions and support student learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students' social and emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and participation in accordance with district policies.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities to support continuous improvement and student success.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Colorado Special Education teaching credential or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a special education setting.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
• Commitment to advocating for students with disabilities and promoting inclusive educational practices.
• Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
